Services to be held for Slain Oklahoma Pastor

Funeral services will be held in Oklahoma City for a pastor who was brutally killed inside her small church in Anadarko. Funeral services for 61-year-old Carol Daniels are set for 1 p.m. Monday at the Greater New Zion Baptist Church in northeast Oklahoma City.

Atom.com announced today that Olivia Munn, “Attack of the Show” co-host and current Playboy cover girl, has signed to star in and executive-produce Star Wars fan films for the digital comedy network. Munn will joi Atom at San Diego Comic-Con International this weekend to premiere the first of the Star Wars-themed videos she is producing through “Operation Olivia: The Star Wars Challenge,” a new online destination that will launch Saturday, July 25 at http://olivia.atom.com

Entertainment Weekly has announced that it will host three panels, a photo and digital studio, and an exclusive event co-hosted by Syfy. Entertainment Weekly’s three Comic-Con panels will bring together creators in television and movies to discuss their work. Footage from each of these panels will be available by July 26 on EW.com.

Capcom Returns to Comic-Con 2009 with Demos and Schwag

Capcom announced plans today to host four panels throughout Comic-Con International San Diego, complete with full Q&A sessions. Capcom will also host several game demonstrations, including Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth­ (never-before-seen demo), Lost Planet 2, Dark Void, Tatsunoko VS Capcom Ultimate All-Stars, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Resident Evil: The Dark Side Chronicles, and Fate/Unlimed Codes. In addition, the Capcom booth will include a boxing ring featuring their hottest fighting titles of 2009/2010, all available for hands-on demos: “Tatsunoko VS Capcom Ultimate All-Stars,” “Fate/Unlimited Codes” and “Marvel VS Capcom 2″. Expect heart-pounding tournaments for “Tatsunoko VS Capcom Ultimate All-Stars” and “Marvel VS Capcom 2″, appearances by “Battlestar Galactica” and “Dark Void” composer Bear McCreary, and free giveaways.

Marvel Entertainment Inc. has teamed up with Japanese animation studio Madhouse (Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers) to create four all new anime versions of classic Marvel Super Heroes, and Marvel fans at this year’s Comic-Con International will have a chance to see the planned four series before the rest of public.

Marvel’s Animation Panel will be held on Friday, July 24, and will include an exclusive first look at official teaser trailers for two of these new series, hosted by writer and multiple-Eagle Award winner Warren Ellis, who will appear to discuss writing the all new adventures of these re-imagined Super Heroes.
