Brandon Sanderson’s Epic Fantasy Novel “Way of Kings” Book Tour Announced

Author Brandon Sanderson’s “Way of Kings,” an upcoming epic fantasy novel, is set to be released on August 31, 2010 by Tor Books. “Kings” is the first volume in a planned ten-novel series called The Stormlight Archive.

“Kings” takes place in an alternate world, one that is constantly assaulted by hurricanes. Existing life forms, including humans, have evolved to cope with the harsh conditions.
These life forms include malignant entities known as Voidbringers, a god –figure called the “Almighty,” who fashions magical weapons and suits of armor, called Shardblades, and knights, known as Radiants. The Radiants battle the evil Voidbringers, and then turn against mankind.

Starting Tuesday, Brandon Sanderson will host an encrypted “Wheel of Time” secret on his site (http://brandonsanderson.com/thegreathunt) that will require fans to find all of the unique codes to unlock the entire page. Each code unlocks a different piece of the page. They’ve been printed up on the back of “Wheel of Time” bumper stickers which Brandon will secret away in copies of his books or “Wheel of Time books” in the different stores he will visit on his book tour this month promoting “The Way of Kings.”
