Fanboys and girls spoke loud and clear at Spike TV’s 2009 Scream Awards 2009 when their favorite sci-fi/fantasy television shows, movies, and comic books were announced to the world. Nominees for the Spike Award were selected by ballot by an advisory board, consisting of credible and well-known members of the horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comic book fields. These minds determined the categories and nominees in each category. Nominated films, television shows and comic books deemed eligible for inclusion must have been released between August 9, 2008 and July 15, 2009. Thereafter fans voted online at scream.spike.com for their favorites.
