Nicole Richie was injured in an auto accident caused by paparazzi Monday, according to the Beverly Hills police. “The Simple Life” reality TV series actress was rear-ended by two photographers driving in a car behind her at the intersection of Wilshire and Canon Drive around 2:00 p.m Monday afternoon. Freelance photograher Eduardo Arrivebee, 29, the driver of the car that hit Richie’s Land Rover, was arrested and booked for driving without a license. His car was impounded.
“There was a complaint of pain injury,” says Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department. “She told officers at the scene that she’s going to seek her own medical treatment.” The extent of her injuries is unknown. Richie had an adult passenger in the car. There is no word on his condition.

In Ep. 12, “5 Chefs Compete,” mushy risotto and undercooked meat nearly derail the contestants’ quest to win a spot as Head Chef at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Outspoken Tennille continues to entertain with her boisterous manner, as does Dave, who looks like he’s smoked a spliff or two prior to taping.
Kevin, who tied with Ariel for best dessert presentation, bombs by failing to properly cook the rice base for the risotto. Tennille repeatedly fails to spot the overcooked rice. Rambunctious top chef Gordon Ramsey, needless to say, couldn’t ‘f—king believe it.’
Watching condescending smack-talker Kevin, acting as head chef, crash and burn is especially entertaining because he seems to have an inflated sense of self and no modesty. His team barely completes service for the night. No one comes together as a team.
Like any good reality competition show, bedlam breaks out when the contestants must choose who will be eliminated. Biased finger pointing ensues, with the weakest selecting the strongest for elimination, and visa versa. Of course, Kevin selects Ariel as one of the two. As Ramsey points out, Ariel gets worse after winning. Fortunately for her, Ramsey sees her as more of a fighter than Suzanne, who gets the ax.
Suzanne, a sous chef in real life, has had a number of chances at redemption, but she just didn’t have the chutzpa to compete with the barracudas in her midst.

Hayden Panettiere, who plays Claire Bennet in “Heroes”, is slated to have a lesbian fling this season’s chapter on redemption. She told press that she “threw it out there.” They [the writers] put you in relationships and I was like, ‘Can I just be with a girl or something? Let’s do that.’”
Naturally, the creative team jumped at the chance to depict the young actress in what we can only hope will be ‘hot’ girl on girl action.
In the homoerotic, and perhaps heroic scenes, Claire smooches with her college roommate Gretchen (Madeleine Zima), the creepy chick that is too nosey and curious about Claire’s abilities to actually be sexy. Regarding filming, Hayden says she and Claire’s on screen gal pal “have a blast.
Letterman Speaks about Romantic Affairs Tonight

“Late Show” host David Letterman will speak about his past relationships with female coworkers again on tonight’s show, which taped this afternoon in midtown Manhattan. According to an audience member, Letterman said he didn’t want to talk again about his past affairs, but since “everybody wants to talk about it,” he would. He apologized to his staff, who he said were being hounded by questions from the media.
“I’m terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position,” he said, according to a transcript provided by his production company. “Inadvertently, I just wasn’t thinking ahead. And, moreover, the staff here has been wonderfully supportive to me, not just through this furor, but through all the years that we’ve been on television and especially all the years here at CBS, so, again, my thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in.” …
Heroes Borrows from LSD Trip: Ink Review

In last week’s episode of “Heroes,” entitled “Ink,” Matt nearly loses his mind as Sylar’s disembodied self somehow haunts Matt’s consciousness. This is an interesting storyline, except that it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. How can Sylar haunt Matt if Sylar inhabits Nathan’s body? Apparently, Sylar’s essence has the ability to inhabit two people at once.
Another odd storyline involves Samuel’s unique ability to tattoo Peter by touch. That’s right. Samuel touches Peter’s arm and a compass magically appears as etched art in Peter’s flesh several hours later. Of course, the usefulness of Samuel’s power will be revealed sometime before the season finale. But meanwhile, viewers must wonder why Peter didn’t absorb Samuel’s powers immediately upon touch, as he has in the past, so that he would be aware of what would happen to him later on.
There was one cool element in “Ink”: the deaf stringed instrument player. Emma can play an instrument and visualize the music as colors. Of course, many LSD takers and scientists would argue that everyone could see the color of music if they merely expand their consciousness. Still, this is an interesting non-heroic storyline that screams for deeper exploration.
Tonight’s episode, “Acceptance,” looks promising as far a tension and high drama goes. The Sylar in Nathan’s brain begins to recall things from his past? Question is…whose past is it, Sylar or Nathan’s? Here’s a preview:

Last week’s episode, “Family Ties,” opened with Damon chasing Elena through her house and ultimately meeting a bloody demise. Of course, it was just a bad dream. But now, it’s not entirely clear whether Damon is right to try to steal Elena from Stefan given that Stefan stole Eleana from Damon first!

“Dead and Lonely”, IFC’s original five episode web series written, produced and directed by cult indie horror filmmaker Ti West (“The Roost,” “Trigger Man,” “The House Of The Devil”) is slated to premiere on IFC.com Monday, October 26 at Noon ET/PT, with additional episodes airing every night that week on IFC.com at Noon. The series mixes the classic vampire love story with our modern Internet dating age, featuring the exploits of two lonely Los Angeles singles brought together via the popular Internet dating website DateOrDie.net. Unfortunately for the couple, one of them is a vampire.
The series unfolds from both the predator and the victim’s perspective until the characters finally meet. In the vein of “Let the Right One In”, the series focuses on the mundane reality of the day-to-day life of an immortal, while seeking to humanize her to the degree that she seems almost as desperate and lonely as the rest of modern society.
“Dead and Lonely” starring Justin Rice (“Mutual Appreciation,” “Alexander The Last”) and Paige Stark, is the latest in a crop of TV shows capitalizing on the vampire theme renaissance, with “Vampire Diaries” and “True Blood” producing the biggest ratings bonanzas for studios.
