SUPERNATURAL This week on CW’s horror series ‘Supernatural,’ all hell has broken loose and one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, War, has landed in a small town in Colorado, turning it into a demonized version of the Gaza Strip. But things are not what they seem. There are no demons. Rather, War induces a mass hallucination, making everyone think everyone else is a demon.

Castiel (Misha Collins) returns. But he doesn’t have his healing powers, leaving Bobby (Jim Beaver) SOL. To everyone’s shock, Castiel reveals that, for strategic reasons, God isn’t in Heaven, but is available to help Dean (Jensen Ackles) fight Armageddon. Dean doesn’t buy it. God is either dead or doesn’t give a ‘rat’s ass about us,’ Dean says. Nevertheless, Dean and Sam (Jared Padalecki) give Castiel a chance to prove God can help.

Meanwhile, War is tricky one to snuff out, especially when Dean and Sam Winchester may need to kill innocent people in self-defense. Frightened people can be vicious, and they really don’t need a reason to kill each other, War points out. Of course, it’s one thing to kill a devil, but another to kill a human who mistakenly thinks you’re the devil. Steven Williams guest stars as demon hunter Rufus Turner, and

Dean and Sam figure out how to neutralize War; they have to cut off his finger and take his Apocalypse Ring, which makes War and his awesome red muscle car and glam rock music disappear into thin air. Thereafter, the brothers talk about the future, and Sam confesses that he still craves demon blood. Will Dean be forced to face-off with Sam at the end? Looks likely.

In next week’s episode, looks like Sam fall in with demons and Dean will join Castiel in the battle to save souls.

‘Good God Y’all’ is fast-paced, gritty and gory. ‘Supernatural’ dropped to a 1.2 rating for adults 18-49 (from a 1.4), and pulled in 2.800 million viewers.
