With each broadcast devoted to calling Democrats and liberals Nazis or racists, Glenn Beck seems to alienate himself further from commercial advertisers. A total of about 46 businesses have now removed spots from “The Glenn Beck Show,” Fox News Channel’s window into the heart of fascist America.
Advertisers distancing themselves from Beck include Applebee’s, Bank of America, Bell & Howell, DirecTV, General Mills, Kraft, Regions Financial Corporation, SAM (Store and Move), Travelers Insurance and Vonage, per to the group’s press release. Travelers Insurance, Bell & Howell and DirecTV were already on a “do not air” list for the show, though their ads appeared during the show anyway, per the release, according to BrandWeek.
Color of Change, the civic group spear-heading the advertising boycott of Beck’s show, which some see as the propaganda tool of a new racist, Ku Klutz Klan (KKK) and/or hate group movement, reported that 36 advertisers were pulling ads, including Clorox, Procter & Gamble and AT&T. James Rucker, a co-founder and executive director, told Brandweek that the group is closely monitoring which advertisers will stick with the Fox News after their contracts are up.
Among the first advertisers saying they would stop airing ads, Geico, LexisNexis’ Lawyers.com, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson pulled theirs soon after Beck’s controversial broadcast on July 28 in which he called the president a “racist.”
The boycott hasn’t stopped viewers from tuning in to watch Beck brand himself as the new face of the Klan.
Beck pulled in about 3 million viewers Wednesday, August 26, 2009, according to TV by the Numbers.

p.s. Moguls and oligarchs should all be boycotted. They get too big and powerful and appealing to the payola system between each other. Color of Change? Okay, so these people believe they are the all mighty that is allowed to hand out racist stickers to people? They don’t even know who Glenn Beck is – most lefties up in arms don’t and really prefer to keep themselves in the dark since knowing would totally blow their own propaganda story. Then again, it’s really only about their “narrative” isn’t it?
