Project Runway All Star Challenge : Ep 1 Review [Spoilers]

After a long hiatus, “Project Runway” returned to cable this week featuring on and off again lesbian Lindsay Lohan. She joined this week as a guest judge. With 16 designers jumping into the fray, the first episode fell shy of being totally engaging. Still, cast mates Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Tim Gunn kept the show’s momentum going.

“Runway” recently moved to Lifetime and is now filmed in Los Angeles, fittingly given the show’s first challenge. Gunn corralled the newbie designers at the Nokia Theatre, this year’s Emmys location, and informed them that their first challenge would be to make a fabu red carpet design on a budget of $200.

Cheap designs on the red carpet! Can it be done successfully? Time will tell.
