Chris Brown Apologizes For Rihanna Assault In New Video

Rapper Chris Brown apologized today, in a newly released video, for having brutally assaulted pop singer Riihanna, according to MTV.com. In a video that appeared online this afternoon, Chris Brown publicly apologized for savagely beating pop vocalist Rihanna earlier this year. In the clip, available at MTV.com, Brown spoke directly to the camera and apologized to Rihianna and his fans. “I’ve told Rihianna countless times and I’m telling you today, I’m truly, truly sorry that I wasn’t able to handle the situation both differently and better,” Brown said. In the two-minute clip, Brown states that his attorneys cautioned him about speaking of the incident until legal proceeding ended. Brown has publicly indicated a desire to share his side of the story. He regrets his actions deeply and he “accepts full responsibility,” he says.
